Then got out our tent we have had a few years as my and my eldest and youngest dds fancy camping but just at a weekend when its nice weather. We camped for years before getting our caravan and still have all the stuff and it seems a waste not to use it.
Anyhoo, the tent has built in poles and you pull a top spring down to tension them - its bust! it was only a cheap Tesco tent so we had our moneys worth. We also had a 3 man tent which I have just sold to my pals dd (you had to crawl into in and those days are loooong gone for me!) So after spending ages looking at tents I have bought one from Ebay - its brand new and a tepee but with a wee porch so the rain doesnt come in very time you open the door. As I said, its really just for overnights or a couple of days if the weather is going to be nice. Its an eco tent as its made from recycled plastic and its quick to put up and lightweight.

So both of those have to come out of my savings :(
March housekeeping left - £30 left (£6.04 vouchers from Asda price guarantee)
(£50 goes into holiday fund)
Spent - my allowance - £30
Spent - entertainment - £31.50
Spent - clothes - £50.20
Spent - household - £40.90
Spent - Christmas 2011 - £106.25 (saved - £202.45!)
Hi, just found your blog, will read properly later. Do you know what make and model your tent is, as that's a good idea with the porch. Is there plenty ventilation so you don't get water dripping on you? This looks good as it has really good headroom.
ReplyDeleteHi - its a Vango eco tent - its arrived but its rained ever since and I cant get it put up in the garden!
